Youssef al-Agouri, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Libyan Parliament, met with a representative of the World Health Organization in Libya, Elizabeth Hoffman, during which they discussed WHO’s plan to respond to the Coronavirus epidemic and the assistance provided by the organization to various regions of Libya.

According to a press briefing for the Parliament today, al-Agouri stressed the importance of learning from the experiences of the World Health Organization for medical cadres in Libya to counter the novel Coronavirus. He also stressed the Libyan parliament’s keenness to facilitate the work of the organization to perform its tasks, indicating that the WHO response plan should include all regions of Libya, especially in Cyrenaica and Fezzan, “and not to only be limited to western Libya as it used to be.”
