HoR discusses COVID-19 response with WHO

TOBRUK – The chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Libyan House of Representatives, Youssef Al-Agouri, met yesterday with a representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Libya, Elizabeth Hoffman, with whom he discussed the plan to respond the Coronavirus epidemic and the assistance provided by the organization in various regions of Libya.

According to a press release from the parliament, Al-Agouri stressed the importance of learning from the experiences of the World Health Organization to tackle COVID-19.

He also stressed the intention of the parliament to facilitate the organization’s work to carry out its tasks, indicating that the WHO plan should include all regions of Libya, in particular Cyrenaica and Fezzan.
