The Libyan Government discusses Combating-COVID-19 Committee’s work in Benghazi

BENGHAZI – The Libyan Prime Minister Abdulla al-Thani held a meeting on Tuesday with the member of the Supreme Committee for Combating COVID-19, Interior Minister Ibrahim Boushnaf.

The meeting discussed, according to the government media office, the progress of the committee and the ministry during the current crisis, as part of the successive measures and precautions taken by the Prime Minister to combat Coronavirus pandemic and prevent its spread in Libya in coordination with the Supreme Committee.

During the meeting held at his residence in Benghazi, al-Thani was briefed on the work of the Supreme Committee for Combating COVID-19, stressing the need to emphasize the implementation of the decree of prohibiting movement between cities and the commitment to curfew hours imposed within all cities and regions.

The Minister of Interior also informed the Prime Minister of the security situation in all cities and regions under the control of the Libyan government.

Al-Thani stressed the need to secure the towns liberated by the Libyan National Army (LNA).
