LNA battalion arrests 25 migrants in Kufra

KUFRA –  A group of 25 migrants have been arrested in the southern Libyan city of Kufra, announced the Sobol al Salam Battalion of the Libyan National Army (LNA) today.

In a statement, the battalion said that the migrants, who were aboard two trucks, were caught on the way to “steal gold on Libyan territory”.

The battalion, based in Kufra, near the Libyan-Sudanese border, added that the capture came on the orders of the LNA command and after closing the borders with Chad and Sudan as part of the measures to fight Coronavirus in Libya.
