Samoud militia commander wounded in Tripoli

TRIPOLI – Press sources said Salem Drah, field commander in al-Samoud Brigade militia, was wounded on Tuesday at Ain Zara axis in Tripoli.

Al-Samoud Brigade is a militia from Misurata allied with Fayez al-Sarraj government (GNA) against the Libyan National Army (LNA), and led by Salah Badi, who is listed on US and UN sanctions lists.

It is noteworthy that LNA forces were able to achieve military progress in the fighting in Ain Zara where the terrorist, nicknamed “Taktaka”, the former right arm of the well-known Egyptian terrorist Hisham Ashmawi, was killed in the axis by LNA forces.

LNA Military Information operations official, Aqeela al-Saber, said that the reserve force, Battalion 403 and Battalion 309 has extended control of new sites in Ain Zara axis, stressing that the morale of LNA forces embraced the sky after tightening control over al-Kabaylia area in the same axis.
