Differences escalate between GNA Interior Minister Bashagha and his government militias

TRIPOLI – Differences escalated between Interior Minister of Fayez al-Sarraj government (GNA), and militias loyal to the government, on the background of arrest of commanders in “Tripoli Revolutionary Battalion” militia, Adham Nasouf and Hani Mesbah, by the Special Deterrence militia, led by Abdel Raouf Kara, and under the direct instructions of the Minister Fathi Bashagha, after the commanders published statements against Bashagha and the Muslim Brotherhood.

The same source added that the arrest of Nasouf and Mesbah that took place on Tuesday evening caused great tension and congestion, the withdrawal of the “Tripoli Revolutionaries” militia from the fighting axes against the Libyan National Army (LNA) in Tripoli, and granting Bashagha two hours to release the militia commanders detained by the other militia of Special Deterrence.
