Tunisia rejects the accusations made against it of allowing Turkey to use its military bases against Libya

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

Tunisia rejected on Tuesday the accusations made against it of allowing Turkey to use Tunisian military bases to provide the necessary supplies to the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA).

The Tunisian Ministry of Defense said, in a statement, that “the uninitiated rumors circulated by some unofficial websites about the use of the Tunisian territories by foreign forces as a starting point for military operations, which are unfounded and confirm that they are irresponsible allegations trying to undermine Tunisia’s sovereignty and national security.”

The Ministry of Defense stressed that Tunisia exercises absolute sovereignty over all of its territories by land, sea and air and does not allow any foreign forces to use its lands for military operations and that its armed forces deployed on the border carrying out duties to defend the country and preserve the integrity of its soil.
