Head of Tripoli Dignitary Council killed fighting with GNA militias

TRIPOLI – Ahmed Abu Saad, the Head of Greater Tripoli Dignitary Council, a prominent member of the Muslim Brotherhood Group, was killed fighting with the militias of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) against the Libyan National Army (LNA) in Wadi al-Rabi’ axis in Tripoli, a military sources to Saa 24 News.

Sami al-Saadi, a leader in the Libyan Fighting Group, listed as a terrorist group, mourned Abu Saad, posting on Facebook on Friday, “On this blessed day, and in this blessed month, God chose him to be one of the martyrs, in a bombing by Haftar gangs,” he said.

Al-Tanasuh TV channel of Muslim Brotherhood reported: “Friday 8 Ramadan, Sheikh Ahmed Abu Saad, one of the dignitaries of Tajura, was killed in a shell in Wadi Al-Rabi’ axis in defense of the capital Tripoli against the invasion of Haftar’s militia and mercenaries,” as stated.
