LNA shoots down booby-trapped drone in Tripoli

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TRIPOLI – The Libyan National Army (LNA) shot down a booby-trapped drone, that was dropping itself on individuals, confirmed LNA Commander of Ain Zara axis, Major General Fawzi Al-Mansouri.

Al-Mansouri indicated – according to LNA Military Information Division – that those who first used these drones were the Houthis in Yemen through Iran, adding that there could be a link between the Tripoli-based Government of “National Accord” (GNA) and the Iranians.

This drone is being used for the first time in the battles in Tripoli, the Commander said, pointing out that it was completely destroyed.

Al-Mansouri said that GNA forces attempted yesterday during the attack on the axis of Ain Zara to launch raids using approximately 10 drones, all of which were unsuccessful, and they were repulsed and incurred heavy casualties.
