26 new COVID-19 cases registered in Libya, bringing total to 156

TRIPOLI – The Libyan National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on Sunday the registration of 26 new cases of coronavirus pandemic in Libya, after examining 475 samples, bringing the number of infected people to 156 cases.

NCDC said in a statement that it had received 475 samples from Tripoli, Sebha, Benghazi, and Misrata, and the results of the samples showed 449 negative cases.

The Center confirmed that 17 new cases were recorded in the city of Sebha, bringing the number of people infected with COVID-19 in Sebha to 64.

This brings the number of people infected with coronavirus pandemic in Libya to 156 cases, 52 of which were recovered, while 99 cases are still active, and five deaths were recorded.
