The Address | Benghazi – Libya
CAIRO – The General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, affirmed that LNA is working to expel the Turkish colonists, indicating that Turkish interference in the conflict reinforces the state of internal polarization.
This came during a press conference of the Egyptian President with LNA Commander, and the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh, at the Presidential Palace in Cairo.
Marshal Haftar also emphasized that LNA has always emphasized national constants, including the call for a comprehensive Libyan dialogue that results in a new presidential council and government capable of meeting the needs of Libyans and unifying divided institutions.
“We hope that Egypt will work to make more effective efforts to compel Turkey to completely stop sending arms and mercenaries to Libya and return all those present in Libya,” LNA Commander added, noting that Turkey wants to blockade Libya and Egypt by signing an agreement that allowed it to attack Libya through land, sea, and air.
Marshal Haftar stated that the LNA General Command had positively dealt with the outputs of the Berlin Conference and participated in five important negotiating stations.
He emphasized that the principles of LNA were in harmony with the initiative of Egypt, calling for support to work on its implementation by all supporters of peace in Libya.
