Jordan welcomes Cairo Declaration for solving the Libyan crisis

Jordan appreciated the Egyptian efforts to solve the Libyan crisis, which resulted in the “Cairo Declaration” initiative launched by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday, during a press conference with the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representative (HoR), Aqila Saleh, and the Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.

Ayman al-Safadi, the Jordanian Foreign Minister, said that the Kingdom appreciates the Egyptian efforts that resulted in the “Cairo Declaration” and described the initiative as “an important achievement”, according to a statement quoted by Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Al-Safadi stressed that the “Cairo Declaration” represents an initiative consistent with international initiatives, “it must be supported to reach a political solution to the Libyan crisis that protects Libya, its unity, and its stability through a Libyan dialogue.” he said.
