LNA publishes press briefing on east-Misurata military operations

SIRTE – The Military Information Division of the Libyan National Army (LNA) revealed the outcome of the military operations that LNA had fought in the past hours east of Misurata.

The Division explained that LNA fighters continued their intensive air sorties, which targeted a number of locations of Fayez al-Sarraj government (GNA) groups, supported by the Turkish mercenaries, which resulted in the destruction of a Turkish air defense system in the vicinity of Buqrin area, and the destruction of GNA artillery, which was bombing homes of civilians in Jarif area.

LNA also targeted a convoy of GNA forces at al-Sadada area, in addition to targeting other sites and concentrations in the vicinity of al-Sadada area east of Misurata, according to the Military Division.

The Division added that military vehicles belonging to GNA groups and Turkish mercenaries in al-Sawalit area were also targeted and destroyed, in addition to targeting GNA groups’ locations in al-Qudahiya area, noting that the intensive air operations on GNA sites were still in progress.

The Division confirmed that LNA air defenses had shot down a Turkish drone near Jarif area, with the continued arrival of LNA reinforcements, deployed and stationed at the sites assigned by LNA General Command and operations rooms.
