Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that there was no disagreement between his country and Russia over the Libyan crisis, noting that the two countries were seeking to reach a permanent ceasefire in the north African country.

Turkey and Russia “do not disagree on the fundamental issues related to the Libyan file,” Cavusoglu added during a press conference with his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif on Monday in Ankara.

Cavusoglu pointed to an agreement with the Russian side to continue technical talks in order for the next ceasefire in Libya to be “stable and solid.”

Meanwhile, Zarif said that Turkey and Iran “share similar views” on the Libyan file.
