Turkish air force plane on new mission to Misrata

ISTANBUL – A Turkish Air Force Lockheed C-130E (63-13188) left Instabul on Monday morning for a new mission to Misrata, Libya, according to tracking military flight website.

At the same time, a Turkish Air Force Boeing E-7T (13-002) departed from Konya Air Base is making a surveillance mission off western Cyprus,  said ItaMilRadar for tracking military flights over Italy and the Mediterranean Sea.

“We don’t know if these missions are linked,” the Website reported.

Turkey used to conduct flights to Misrata and Tripoli transferring weapons and mercenaries to fight alongside the militias that Erdogan supports against the Libyan National Army (LNA).
