COVID-19 cases in Libya exceed 800

TRIPOLI – Coronavirus infections in Libya exceeded 800, after the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday registered 40 new positive cases.

In its daily brief on the pandemic, NCDC stated that 35 cases of contact were registered in Sebha, one new case in Ghat, 3 cases in Tripoli and one in Jafra.

The number of registered cases in Libya since the outbreak of the pandemic rose to 802, including 573 active cases.

NCDC announced the registration of 10 cases of recovery, one in Sebha, one in Benghazi, 2 in Tripoli, and 6 in Al-Bayda, bringing the total number of those recovered to 206.

The Center recorded two new deaths in Bin Jawad and Sebha, bringing the total deaths to 23.
