MADRID – Spain’s Foreign Affairs Ministry released a statement on Tuesday calling for the end to the blockade on oil production in Libya.
“The Spanish government expresses its grave concern over the deterioration of the economic situation in Libya,” read the report. “To end it, we immediately demand an end to the obstruction on oil manufacture, a resource that belongs to all of the Libyan people.”
Spain urged Libyan leaders “to strengthen the economic institutions and reiterates its commitment to stability, sovereignty, unity and the territorial integrity of Libya and its support for the efforts of the United Nations in a search for a peaceful solution to the crisis.”
