Libya sets its record in the number of Covid-19 cases

Libya has set a new record in the number of new cases of coronavirus, with 50 cases registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 874; 223 of which have recovered, while 25 died.

According to the National Center for Disease Control in Tripoli, more than half of the cases are concentrated in Sebha city, the capital of Fezzan region in southern Libya, then comes the capital, Tripoli, followed by the city of Misrata. Benghazi, the second-largest city in Libya and the rest of the eastern cities of Cyrenaica, continue to record fewer cases compared to its population.
