Acting Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in Libya, Stephanie Williams, held talks with the President of the Libyan Parliament, Aguila Saleh, in Geneva, on efforts to resolve the Libyan crisis. They stressed the need to stop foreign interference in Libya.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya said on Twitter that the two parties discussed several topics, especially the resumption of the political dialogue and the Saleh initiative, and the need to intensify efforts to find a comprehensive political solution to the Libyan crisis.
The Special Representative welcomed the position of Aguila Saleh, in support of an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Libya, especially in Sirte.

The two parties also called on the international parties to stop their negative interference in Libya and facilitate the support of the political process, in order to prevent a new humanitarian and economic catastrophe in Sirte and the Oil Crescent region.
