Saudi Arabia, Egypt renew their rejection of Turkish intervention in Libya

RIYADH – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt renewed their total rejection of prejudice to Arab regional security, in the latest Arab response to Turkish military intervention in some Arab countries, including Libya in particular, amid growing tension in Ankara’s relations with Arab countries.

The official Saudi Press Agency, SPA, reported on Friday that the Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, made a phone call to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Egyptian Minister of Defense and Military Production, Lieutenant General Muhammad Zaki, during which they discussed bilateral brotherly relations between the two countries, especially in the defense and military field, and promote joint cooperation in everything that preserves security in the region.

SPA said that the Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense and the Egyptian Minister of Defense affirmed the keenness of the two countries to enhance stability and address all forms of terrorism, and reaffirmed that the position of the two countries in totally rejecting prejudice to Arab regional security.”
