The Libyan Address Journal
The President of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, said that “not even a word from the Skhirat agreement was implemented, and it only increased division in Libya,” noting that “those who were assigned to it were not responsible.”
“We do not want war, but it was imposed on us because of external interference,” Saleh added during a press conference with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita in Rabat
For his part, the Moroccan Foreign Minister said that the Skhirat agreement needs to be developed in a way that includes the formation of the presidential council and to update it with what the situation requires today.
Saleh is visiting Morocco on an official visit, with the aim of presenting his initiative to resolve the Libyan crisis.
Earlier, the President of the House of Representatives discussed with his Moroccan counterpart Habib al-Maliki the repercussions of the Libyan crisis on the region, and the bilateral relations between the two countries, during a meeting between them at the headquarters of the Moroccan Parliament in Rabat.
