The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, discussed with a number of members of the American Congress, both the House and Senate, and the Republican and Democratic parties, the latest developments in the situation in Libya.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said that Shoukry “exchanged visions with members of Congress, during a number of phone calls, on a number of regional and international issues. “Minister Shoukry reviewed the Egyptian vision to address the various crises facing the Middle East, and the role that Egypt plays to enhance stability, and reaching political solutions to all the files of the region, especially the Libyan crisis. ”
He pointed to “ways to confront the negative role of some countries in destabilizing the security and stability of the region.”
Shoukry’s contacts with US officials also touched on developments in the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam file, and developments in the situations in Syria and Palestine.
