Over 400 new COVID-19 cases registered in Libya, with over 300 in Tripoli and Misrata

TRIPOLI – The Libyan National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced the registration of 404 new infections with Coronavirus pandemic, as the highest toll recorded in Libya since the pandemic appeared last March, in addition to 8 deaths, and the recovery of 12 patients.

Tripoli registered the highest number of infections with 184 new cases, followed by Misrata with 122 cases, according to NCDC’s daily statement on the epidemiological situation, published on its official Facebook page on Thursday.

7 cases were registered in Nawahi Arbaa, 2 in al-Maya, 16 in al-Khums, 10 in Sabratha, 11 in Tarhuna, 6 in Janzour, 3 in Zuwara, 1 in Musallata, 2 in Sidi al-Sayeh, 1 in Amiriya, 2 in Gharyan, 11 in Bani Walid, 17 in Zliten, 2 in Sebha, 1 in Shuwairif, 4 in Benghazi, and 2 cases in Tobruk.

It is noteworthy that Libya has registered 4,879 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 4,128 active cases, 652 recoveries, and 107 deaths.
