House Committee chairman wants foreign forces out of Libya

TOBRUK – The Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs Committee, Youssef Al-Aqouri, reaffirmed the House’s commitment to the outcomes of the Berlin Conference, and a return to political dialogue as the only way to resolve the current crisis.

In a statement released on Wednesday,  Al-Aqouri stressed upon the need to remove all foreign forces from Libya, and to resume oil exports on condition that its revenues are spent fairly and transparently.

Al-Aqouri expressed his support for the remarks of German Foreign Minister, Heiko Maas, which he made during his visit to Tripoli in the past weekend.

He also expressed his appreciation for the role of German diplomacy, and thanked the efforts made by Germany to support the return of stability and peace to in Libya.
