NOC workers Syndicate welcomes the reopening of the oil ports

The Libyan Address Journal

The General Syndicate of Oil Workers at the National Oil Corporation welcomed the announcement by the Libyan National Army to reopen oil fields and ports, after their closure last January.

In press statements on Thursday, the Syndicate announced that it welcomes the decision of the Libyan National Army and considers it “a step in the right direction to preserve the oil and gas sector in Libya as a sovereign resource for all Libyans, whose revenues should be distributed fairly to all regions of the country, and not be a pressure card within the state of political division in Libya.”

The Syndicate added that the opening of oil fields and ports contributes to preserving the infrastructure and preserving the oil installations, including drilling equipment, and also contributes to providing the gas required to operate electricity to alleviate the daily suffering of the citizens.”
