German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas discussed with his Emirati counterpart Abdallah bin Zayed the situation in Libya, as well as a number of issues in the Middle East.
The German Foreign Ministry said that Maas, who had just returned from a visit to Tripoli, met with bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi, where the two sides discussed a number of regional issues, most notably the UAE-Israel Peace Deal, the extension of the arms embargo against Iran, political Islam, the situation in Lebanon, “and of course Libya.”
