France welcomes lifting force majeure off of Libya’s oil fields

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TRIPOLI – The French embassy in Libya welcomed the decision of the Tripoli-based the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to lift the force majeure status of the country’s oil fields and ports.

“We support the unity, safety and independence of the National Oil Corporation,” the French embassy tweeted on Sunday.

NOC had announced lifting force majeure off of oil fields and ports, after the Libyan National Army (LNA), led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, brokered a deal to ensure fair distribution of oil revenues between the country’s three main regions.
