International Cooperation Council’s Commissioner calls on Turkey & Qatar to stop arming GNA

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

CAIRO – The Commissioner of the International Cooperation Council and Diplomatic Relations in Libya, Adel Yassin, has called for preventing the arrival of Turkish and Qatari planes to the airports of Mitiga and Misurata, indicating that their planes continue to send weapons to the Government of National Accord (GNA).

In a statement, Yassin said that “the weapons enter Libya through the airports of Tripoli and Misurata, and through Tunisia.”

Yassin confirmed that Turkish warships arrive and roam the Libyan shores, without accountability.

Yassin accused the United Nations of prolonging the Libyan crisis, saying, “there is complicity from the United Nations to prolong the conflict in Libya until the goals of the Arab revolutions in Libya are achieved.”
