GNA’s Presidential Council affirms importance of resuming political process

TRIPOLI – The Presidential Council of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) convened a meeting on Thursday to discuss the political and military situation in Libya.

The meeting was chaired by GNA Prime Minister, Fayez Al-Sarraj, and was attended by his deputies Ahmed Maiteeq and Abdul Salam Kagman.

According to a statement by GNA’s media office, the Presidency Council stressed upon the importance of resuming the political, security and economic processes in accordance with the outcomes of the Berlin Conference.

“The meeting discussed the measures taken to improve the performance of the public sector, and the continuous follow-up of the General Electricity Company to complete the implementation of its projects and network maintenance programs.”

“The meeting followed up on the efforts made to confront the Coronavirus pandemic and the extent of commitment to implement the curative, preventive and precautionary measures taken.”
