Egypt’s Sisi: We seek stability in Libya and reaching elections

CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said the main goal is to restore stability and security in Libya through the political track and the outcomes of the Berlin Conference and the Cairo Declaration, leading to the elections.

The Egyptian President stressed, during his meeting with the Spanish Foreign Minister, that attempts to undermine state entities and national institutions in the region provide space for the threat of terrorism to spread.

Today, Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha Jonzalez Laya praised the Egyptian efforts to stabilize the current situation on the ground according to the lines announced in Libya, which positively contributed to tightening the situation in Libya.

This came during the reception of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Spanish Foreign Minister, in the presence of Sameh Shoukry, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, in addition to the Spanish ambassador to Cairo.
