The Address | Benghazi – Libya
BENGHAZI – The Spokesman of the Libyan National Army (LNA) stated on Monday that the security agrement signed between Qatar and the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) was a violation of the 5+5 Geneva ceasefire agreement.
“What Qatar, which is considered the biggest supporter of terrorism, did today of using its infiltrators in Libya, by signing what it called security agreements, is a violation of the outcomes of the 5+5 Geneva Dialogue,” LNA Spokesman, Major General Ahmed al-Mismari, said in a statement on his official Facebook page.
“It is a malicious attempt to undermine what the Libyan army officers agreed upon in Geneva in terms of a ceasefire, a halt to escalation, and an end to the destructive foreign intervention in the Libyan affair,” al-Mismari added.
It is noteworthy that press sources reported on Monday that GNA signed a security cooperation agreement with Qatar in the field of combating terrorism.
