Second round of Libyan dialogue discusses mechanisms of running for new government

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

LIBYA – The second round of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum was launched on Monday via video conference, as a continuation of the previous rounds held in Tunisia.

The UN mission in Libya confirmed, through a post on Twitter, the launch of the second round of LPDF, in the presence of UN representative Stephanie Williams and the mission team.

The virtual session is expected to complete the discussion of the mechanisms for running for the new government, which will be entrusted with the task of holding the elections, set for December next year, in addition to the Presidential Council.

It is also likely that upon completion of the nomination mechanism clause, there will be a direct session that brings together the members of the Dialogue Committee to vote on the selection of the figures who will be at the head of the government and the Presidential Council.
