Libyan MP call on suspending LPDF until investigations into bribery allegations completed

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

BENGHAZI – Member of Parliament and one of the participants in the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF), Ziad Dughaim, said that he would ask during the virtual meeting for suspending the forum until the completion of investigations into allegations of financial bribes by some of the participants in LPDF held in Tunis, and that is to restore the people’s confidence in the dialogue, according to the MP.

Dughaim explained that there are allegations of financial bribes and promises of positions in addition to threatening some of the members participating in the dialogue.

He also called on the Attorney General to take immediate action and open an investigation into all allegations.

It is noteworthy that the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) announced, at the end of LPDF, a new round of dialogue through Zoom technology to complete the discussion on the contentious points.
