BENGHAZI – The Spokesman of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Major General Ahmed Al-Mesmari, said the Ubari operation in southwestern Libya against Al-Qaeda had three targets at one time, during which dangerous terrorists wanted by foreign intelligence were captured.

“The operation was purely Libyan and the new generation of graduates of the military college and training centers participated in it,” Al-Mesmari added, in statements on Libya Al-Hadath TV channel last night.

Al-Mesmari pointed out that Hasan al-Washi, who was captured during the operation, was directly affiliated to al-Qaeda organization and participated in the kidnapping of French citizens in Mali, and was assigned by the organization for Libya-Mali line.

Al-Mismari confirmed that Al-Washi was a personal escort to Mukhtar bin Mukhtar, and then to Yahya Al-Jawadi, known as “Abu Ammar”, who was in charge of the Al-Qaeda organization in Libya.
