Libyan National Army dealt a heavy blow to mercenaries in Sabha

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

LIBYA – Major General Khaled AlMahjoubDirector of the Moral Guidance Department at the Libyan National Army (LNA), revealed that there were attempts to move mercenaries in southern Libya, explaining that the Libyan forces had directed forceful strikes on terrorist organizations in the city of Sebha.

The Director of the LNA Moral Guidance Department confirmed to “Sky News Arabia” that Turkey has an interest in the continuing instability in Libya.

Al-Mahjoub stressed “securing all areas of southern Libya,” noting that there are attempts by mercenaries to destabilize the southern Libyan region.

Earlier, the spokesman for the Libyan National Army, Ahmed Al-Mismari, said that LNA forces from the Sabha military region confronted subversive elements, as they managed to take control of their headquarters in the city.

Al-Mesmari revealed in a statement that these subversive elements receive their orders directly from the Turkish intelligence, which leads operations to support the Brotherhood and extremist groups in Libya.

In a statement, the Libyan National Army confirmed that the Sabha region is under a state of security alert, following clashes with mercenaries belonging to the Government of National Accord (GNA) led by Fayez al-Sarraj.

The statement added that the security situation in Sabha had stabilized after the intervention of the National Army, while the Libyan file remained unresolved due to Turkish interventions and obstruction of political settlement efforts.

Ankara continues to escalate its involvement in the Libyan conflict by supporting the Government of National Accord (GNA), despite Turkey participating and agreeing to the results of the Berlin conference held last January where foreign states active in Libya agreed to uphold the UN arms embargo.

SOHR has been steadfast in its monitoring of Syrian fighters deployed by Turkey to fight in the Libyan conflict in support of the Government of National Accord (GNA).

The bulk of Syrian casualties are from the following factions: al-Mu’tasim Division, Sultan Murad, Suqur Al-Shamal Brigade, Al-Hamzat, and Suleiman Shah.
