US, Alegria diplomats discuss Libya

ALGIERS – Algeria’s Foreign Minister, Sabri Boukadoum, and the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Near Eastern Affairs, David Schenker, discussed on Friday regional and international issues of common interest, including Libya.

According to a statement by the Algerian Foreign Ministry, Boukadoum stressed that his country “expects neutrality” from the U.S., which is required by the current challenges, especially with regard to the Libyan crisis.

For his part, Schenker reaffirmed his country’s agreement with Algeria towards resolving the crisis in Libya by supporting the political solution.
